motetus: (inception / eames fist)

My second [livejournal.com profile] i_reversebang art prompt, which was claimed by the very excellent [livejournal.com profile] bauble, who took on my rough sketch with no hint of any background ideas, and even less in the way of any story ideas, save that at some point Eames should get bent over that lovely motorcycle and fingered, preferably with Arthur leaving his gloves on. What a good thing she and I have similar interests. So, the fic!

Fic Title: Command and Control
Author: [livejournal.com profile] bauble
Pairing(s): Arthur/Eames
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 5000
Warnings: Graphic sex, role playing, dominance and submission, dirty talk, violence
Summary: It turns out that Eames finds the combination of Arthur and a life-threatening situation rather arousing.

And a bonus night/Copenhagen/painting theft version! Unfortunately my second author had to drop out, but I'd started the illustration for her story and liked it enough to keep going. I think I'm happier with the style and the faces of the day version, but the background was a lot of fun to do, and I think I learned an important point about colouring skin in a night setting, which is: don't bother trying, go and draw something easier instead.

Ah, this is lovely. Arthur looks so mischievous, like he has just the right thing in mind for Eames :D

Thank you! Yes, yes he does indeed - and that something in mind is definitely something to do with the erection digging into his backside. ;)

This is lovely - I'm really enjoying the playful / mischievous expressions! I especially like the night time one, the colour scheme is super.

Aw, thank you! Playful and mischievous was exactly the feeling I was going for. :D

Wow, you're so industrious! And so are your boys! I love the night scene: the use of colours and light, and I think it adds to the criminal ongoings, because everybody expects thieves to be noctural creatures.

Industrious? I'm afraid not - these are the only things I've done in the past months! Work and okay, a little bit of video gaming, but most definitely work has sapped all my energy and imagination lately - haven't ground to a halt, but it's slowed me down to a snail's pace. But thank you! I agree that night is probably better for nicking stuff (or maybe Eames' ego is so huge he wants people to see and admire his perfectly executed robbery?), but I wish I'd figured out the style of the day version early enough to use it for the night, and planned the lighting more carefully. Well, just have to try more night paintings until it gets better, yes? :D

Oh, this is DELIGHTFUL! I LOVE THE MOTORCYCLE. Looks like a Triumph <3

Thank you!

You are correct! I am not much of a motorcycle person, but I'll make an exception for Triumphs; they are very sexy machines.

I love these pieces so much. I've already rambled on in email about the first, but here's a list of further details I like:
-the lamp
-the windows with the little flowers
-the shadow of the bird on the line
-the detail on the cross
-the detail of Arthur's leather glove

I also adore the night time version! The lamp light is just so striking, and the bridge with the buildings such a cute background. Gorgeous work on both.

Yay, thank you for noticing all the little details! <3 And thank you for coming up with an excellent setting for the background - not only did it turn out to be perfect for the style I was aiming for, but I have somewhere for a day trip when I go to Spain next month! I promise I shall not attempt to steal priceless Catholic relics and get into a shoot-out with the Toledo police.

Fantastic use of exressions (accidentally typed "sexpressions" :D) and lighting in both pieces! I love the mood of the night version and the colouring style in the day one. Beautiful work!

Thank you very much - you've pinpointed the two things I like the most about each picture! And now I have a new word for my vocabulary: sexpressions. It shall be the one I use whenever I've drawn a sex scene where I realise too late that the facial expressions look like they've got a bit of cramp rather than in the throes of ecstasy, yes. :D

Thank you very much! I figure this has got to be the millionth time I've drawn Arthur with a smirk, which is rather terrible of me as an artist, but... he just looks too adorable for me to resist.

Oh lord no, I think my only process was "fiddle around with sliders until I stop weeping with frustration" so you may still want to find a better source than my brain. I think the problem was that it was meant to be a sweet and lighthearted moment, so if I were going for a less fluffy illustration, it might have been easier as I could get away with colder, darker colours? Well, stuff to try in the future!

Thanks very much! There is so much wonderful art coming out of this reverse bang, it's really lovely to see so many things being produced even though it's been over 4 years since Inception was released. Not dead yet! \o/
