Art for i_reversebang! I must confess I initially had very little idea of what I was going to draw for this, just that I wanted to paint Yusuf's pretty face and that Eames without trousers also seemed like a good idea. Many thanks to ohfreckle for picking my prompt, making sense of it and writing fic that I'm very much looking forward to reading is amazing and hot and PERFECT, and to bauble for pointing out the dodgy bits. Title is nicked from Robert Benchley.

You shouldn't do too much thinking when you've got a bad hangover! You come up with the most ridiculous ideas that will never work, things like "I'm never going to touch alcohol ever again."

Hahaha, I also had lots of questions while I was drawing this, mainly "WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON HERE?" but that's what I love about reverse bangs - someone else has to worry about that! ;) Glad you like the faces, I had far, far too much fun working on Eames' adorably grumpy face!

Heh, yes, I like to imagine this is far from the first time Eames has woken up hungover and in a state of semi-undress at Yusuf's place - it's a good thing Yusuf has a patient and understanding soul. And he charges Eames an extortionate bed & breakfast rate.

Ehhhh, I love it so much. I may have mentioned it, but I'm so in love with Eames' socks and body hair and Yusuf's knowing face. He just knows that Eames did something again.

I am so glad you like it! God, I adore Yusuf's face, and I'm never going to get tired of drawing him and Eames as best friends (with a little bit of one-sided exasperation!).

Ooh, thank you! I wish I had included a more exciting background, but I got too excited and rushed straight into painting Eames and Yusuf before I could figure out all that boring stuff like perspective. But they have such pretty faces, so can you really blame me?

Ah, the Inception boys again! But Yusuf is new to your portfolio, isn't he - or did I miss him before? I haven't read the story yet (am totally snowed under by the Paperlegends stories), but I like your picture, especially the use of bright morning light. So Eames is just getting up with a headache (coffee withdrawal, hangover or his line of work?). As it looks like I have to read the story ...

Yep, again! Sorry - I do have other fandoms simmering away, but the Inception bunnies are the bitiest. I think I have drawn Yusuf before, also with Eames perched on his furniture and drinks involved... I am so very predictable!

(answer is hangover! I tried to keep it open so it could be Eames acting as Yusuf's guinea pig and trying out some new compounds, but in my heart he'd had far too much to drink the night before, and that's what the fic ended up doing too!)

OMG YUSUF'S FACE!!! XD That is some epic side-eye, I love it! (Do you love drawing Yusuf? I love drawing Yusuf, he's so...draw-able!) Also Eames's expression, seriously...the little brow furrow is SO perfect. And as always, you've made their facial hair look perfect and natural in ways I can never manage *sighs* This is lovely and hilarious!

...also as I scroll back up to look at it the lighting and the background are fantastic! I'm sure I will keep finding more awesome things...*goes back to stare*

I absolutely LOVE drawing Yusuf! I need to be a bit more adventurous with his clothing, he certainly isn't as easy to come up with original clothing for as say, Arthur and Eames, but oh man, his FACE. <3 The gorgeous lips and his eyebrows and that lovely wild hair... he's just a delight to spend time with.

Ack, the background - I did want a lot more in it, like Yusuf's fabulous old-pharmacy-like cabinets and some glassware, but I got carried away with their pretty faces and clothing and left figuring out things like perspective and composition until it was far too late for me to make any sense of it.

Thank you so much! I did have a lot of fun drawing their faces - Eames especially, looking all rumpled and grumpy (and still ridiculously pretty!).
