motetus: (art / mine - santa yoda)
[personal profile] motetus
Here is a shitload of art! As promised, all the drawings I made for the holiday card requests. I hope everyone's card reached them and that you liked them as much as I enjoyed drawing them, because I had a lot of fun with them - I think I may well try taking prompts again, because it certainly beats having to use my own imagination. :P

Warning(/enticement?): one or two are NSFW and one is particularly explicit.

A Forrest Bondurant in a Santa hat for [livejournal.com profile] fruityshirts (who said clothing was optional, but he can't be Forrest without the cardigan), whose feelings about Christmas look about similar to mine right about now.

Or perhaps it is [livejournal.com profile] arvok's Santa Maul, whose murderous expression perfectly expresses all the festive spirit I have...

[livejournal.com profile] the_little_owl requested Pagan God!Qui-Gon, but I think he came out more like Gentle Woodland Spirit!Qui-Gon. See what I said about Liam Neeson being a delight to draw? That lovely, lovely profile! <3

Bionic!Qui-Gon for [livejournal.com profile] temve, who she has named the Quiborg.

Han Solo in his wife's metal bikini for [livejournal.com profile] sneaqui. Yeah, he knows he looks good. I'd certainly chain him up and make him dance for my entertainment!

[livejournal.com profile] honscot's Obi-Wan is also a fan of cross-dressing. Mace Windu needs to have a word with him about proper attire when attending Council meetings, however.

[livejournal.com profile] kateison asked for Tom Hardy as Bronson doing a super-cheesy muscle enhancement advert, and because I have a terrible imagination and don't have a subscription to bodybuilding magazines, the best I could come up with was South Park's Weight Gain 4000 ad. BEEFCAKE BEEFCAKE.

A pair of Rays for [livejournal.com profile] seascribe - I've never seen much of Due South, but I'm seriously considering marathoning it all for Ray K's sartorial taste.

Cicero (<3 <3 <3) for[livejournal.com profile] weekend. Writing something bitchy, no doubt.

A Saola (and a handful of creepy, eyeless birds) for [livejournal.com profile] pronker.

[livejournal.com profile] jacketpotato's adorable (yet probably evil and plotting) scarf-eating goat and her robin sidekick.

Yep, Marcus and Esca... and ancient greek pottery pastiche (I have been waiting SO LONG for an excuse to try this!) for [livejournal.com profile] alby_mangroves, who asked for Marcus/Esca and shaving, and that thing in Esca's hand is supposed to be an authentic Roman razor, or so google tells me.

Secret Undercover Placidus for [livejournal.com profile] bunn - is he not the most cunning and convincing spy EVER? Well, at least he thinks so.

Esca and Cub for [livejournal.com profile] fififolle, celebrating Saturnalia!

Esca with his magical tattoos for[livejournal.com profile] ladytiferet, and nudity, because that's also awesome. Spot the third foot! This is what happens when I get distracted with bums...

[livejournal.com profile] carmarthen asked for Hilarion + lounging, and because side-eying equines are a Thing of mine, I thought it would be amusing to have him lounging against an exasperated pony. And smirking.

A Frontier Wolf for [livejournal.com profile] sineala who has the same penchant as me for dressing animals up in Centurion helmets. Centurion Doggy is not impressed. (and shut up, ancient Romans totally did own Golden Retrievers)

Arthur (and Eames!) celebrating Hanukkah for [livejournal.com profile] anne_jumps.

Becuase [livejournal.com profile] bauble is a beautiful cock-demanding pervert, she insisted on something filthy and explicit based on a 'historical AU' ficlet she wrote a while ago. So here is Roman!Arthur putting his new barbarian slave to good use! And because [livejournal.com profile] bauble is the best kind of pervert, she's now written an extension of that ficlet where Arthur and Eames further abuse the PASIV for their sordid role-playing fantasies (that I have yet to read but I am sure it will be delightful, DAMMIT WHY AM I SURROUNDED BY CHILDREN, I WANT TO READ THE PORRRRN).

Eames in a skirt for [livejournal.com profile] beili - well done on all the cross-dressing prompts you guys, I am reminded why I like you all so much.

Eames stretching and also nipples for [livejournal.com profile] lezzerlee. He is not a happy morning person either, no.

Arthur and Reggie for [livejournal.com profile] recrudescence, from her fic Show a Little Backbone. Because I suck at doing adequate research before I finish drawing, I discovered too late that ball pythons aren't anywhere near that big. Never mind, let's pretend he recently ate Eames.

And finally, Pirate Captain Lucrezia Borgia and her ferocious First Mate (who does not really look as much like Cesare as I'd hoped - hair needs to be more fabulous) for [livejournal.com profile] isiscolo!

Okay, off to spend this day properly: ignore all the small children around me and wallow in Yuletide. Yuuuuletide! Oooh, is that Hannibal Barca/Scipio Africanus fic I spot?

Oh my god! So much awesomeness! I could just stare at these all day! If I didn't have a goose to cook.
Thank you so much for Esca and cub, they make me so happy. Every one of these is brilliant, but the Greek pottery shaving and stretching Eames are particularly incredible. And for some reason I can't stop staring at Cicero...
Thank you for posting these, just yay!!

Have a super day, happy holidays! x

Whee, glad you like them all! I did too - there wasn't a single one that I had to force myself through. And yeah, I've been looking for an excuse to try Greek red-on-black pottery, and then I had a visit to an archaeological museum in Amsterdam with loads of pottery just when I was pondering how to fill Alby's request, so...

Don't burn your goose! Man, I am jealous, goose is amazing and so much better than the turkey my in-laws are doing. And don't get me started on their refusal to cook Yorkshire puddings from scratch!

Everything here is so fabulous! It doesn't even matter that I don't know who some of them are. Thanks for posting them all for us to see, plus now I have Master Sexi-Wan Kenobi on the trusty iPad. Yay! I have to say, I'm loving Han Solo in the bikini, and Darth Maul cracked me up. He does look a wee bit disgruntled. :D

Darth Maul has the hardest life, he really does. And that's before he's seen Darth Sidious' new Sexy Xmas Fairy costume.

Glad you liked them, and thank you for the glorious cross-dressing Obi-Wan prompt, what fun that was to fill. All the characters in sexy lingerie, I will draw them!

Oh my goddddddd, these are all fantastic. I love all the cross dressing! And every single Roman thing! Lounging Hilarion! Side-eying pony! Centurion doggy! POTTERY MARCUS AND ESCA OMGGGG. And Eames in a skirt is unexpectedly hnnnggghk. And dude, that Han Solo picture is GENIUS.

And of course I LOVE the picture of the Rays with their excellent outfits and suggestive looks. *hearteyes*

Aw, thank you so much! I loved the cross-dressing too - the skirt one surprised me too, I didn't think I could pull it off in a way that looked sexy, but, well, maybe Tom Hardy's arse looks fantastic in anything. I loved all the prompts, really - they a) had to all be done in no more than a few evenings each which prevented me from overworking them/going crazy with the background and b) were all these amazing and fun things that I wouldn't have come up with myself!

Glad you liked the Rays! :D

These are all amazeballs! In addition to Lucrezia I particularly love Cicero, the two animal ones following him, the Roman Urn, and Centurion Doggy. Oh, hell, I love 'em all! You are vastly talented and we are so lucky to have you around. Happy Merry!

Date: 2013-12-25 09:07 pm (UTC)

Thank you! For all my waffling about wanting to draw Cesare and Micheletto, it's Lucrezia I end up spending time on - not a terrible thing because she's one of the most beautiful women in the world, imho.

Ha, I will be sticking around while there's at least one person left who'll put up with my daft historical art ideas. You cannot get rid of me that easily!

These are all gorgeous!

I think my favorite (well, other than Centurion Doggy there) has to be Hilarion smirking and leaning on his horse, because oh my God Hilaaaaaarion. He would. He so would.

Also the Marcus and Esca as red-figure pottery is just beautiful.

Date: 2013-12-25 09:19 pm (UTC)

Hilarion lounges on anything that has stopped moving for 20 seconds! Yay, I am very glad you liked your Frontier Wolf (was a bit of an experimental stle for me, so I did a bit of worrying over whether it worked) and also the Marcus/Esca pottery. I am half-tempted to find myself a pottery class and learn how to make vases, then next year it will be REAL red-on-black homoerotic pottery for everyone! Get your order for a 12-piece dinner set in soon!

AH PIRATE CAPTAIN LUCREZIA! IT IS SO PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL! I am assuming that she named the monkey Cesare? How does Cesare feel about this?

Um, I had comments about some of the others too, I just got gobsmacked by the glory that is Lucrezia. I loved Darth Maul with the twinkle lights on his horns and the candy-cane striped light saber! Now I'm wondering how he came to celebrate Christmas. Presumably if we ever discover a planet of horned demon people, the Jesuits will be there in a trice.

I also really liked Marcus & Esca in ancient Greek pottery style. And also Esca with the magic tattoos and the creepy glowing eyes...Do magic!tattoo Esca's eyes always glow, or is he working some dark sorcery that Marcus should be worried about?

And Obi-Wan cross-dressing for the council meeting made me giggle.

Date: 2013-12-25 10:35 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] motetus.livejournal.com
Yeah, I seem to have a thing for Lucrezia cross-dressing, don't I? I totally cheated my way out of having to come up with an original pirate costume though - the coat is an adapted version of one of her own, and the hat is a tweaked one of Cesare's. I hope you spotted the Borgia bull and the seahorses too! :D Real Cesare is mildly amused by Capuchin Monkey Cesare... until he gets urinated on again.

Heh, I have no idea what's going on with Esca's magic tattoos, I just draw these things half hoping someone will get inspired and write something... but yes, it's very likely that Marcus should be a little concerned. Esca doesn't particularly look friendly like that, does he?

Uh, try half of October and whole of November, drawing every single evening and most of the weekends, PANICKING ALL THE TIME. Then my fingers got a whole week of rest before being put to work drawing a graphic and complicated threesome. No rest for the pervy! :D But I had a fantastic time drawing everything, and I think I will totally take prompts again, but without a threatening deadline.

I am so glad you liked the shaving pottery pastiche! You know, I once saw this amazing red/black bowl in an Eros exhibition at the Colosseum in Rome that had a really blatantly obvious spitroast going on - bless those Greeks, bless them.

These are ridiculous and lovely. I like Saola the best, I think, the style and the composition are great. And Eames in a skirt is... Well.
