Finally! This bloody thing is finished!

It's so nice to have time to paint again, now I don't have uni coursework piling up. This did turn into a ridiculously vast picture that caused my computer to grind to a halt for a full 5 minutes everytime I hit save, but I do love gorgeous, scheming Atia, and I'm very happy with how this turned out (even after four full repaints of her damn hair).

Date: 2007-07-07 01:07 am (UTC)So gorgeous! The details are stunning, everything is stunningly done. Just amazing!
I've been thinking of going back to painting again lately, but I don't know if I can do it all digitally since I haven't even been painting on canvas for years now. But oh I really want to. And I also think my computer would probably die if I'd try to do something like this. :p

Date: 2007-07-07 06:06 pm (UTC)Yes, it was done in Photoshop and took me roughly 3 weeks - working for a couple of hours a day, more at the weekend. I'm a very slow painter though - every 2 seconds I have to zoom out and see how it's going.
I'd love to see your paintings - I need more people to make me jealous! :P I find it much easier to draw digitally that traditionally - when I'm using something like pencils I keep reaching from the Control + Z key. And my 3-year-old laptop can cope with something 4625x7222 pixels large, so it's not that demanding. There, now you have no excuses! ;)
